BrandFx

Branding & identity

Strong brand identities that get you ahead and keep you ahead. Strategy, logotypes, palettes, typography, and brand elements all aligned for impact.

Brand architecture

Brand architecture is the structure that defines how a company organizes and names its brands, sub-brands, and products in relation to each other.
Common models include a “branded house,” where everything sits under one master brand, and a “house of brands,” where each product line has its own distinct identity. Getting architecture right prevents customer confusion as a company grows or acquires new lines of business.

Brand collateral

Brand collateral is the set of physical and digital materials a company uses to communicate its brand, from business cards and brochures to email templates and presentation decks.
Collateral applies the brand’s identity system to specific, practical formats a team uses every day. Consistent collateral is one of the fastest ways to make a brand feel established, because it’s the material a customer or partner actually holds or opens.

Brand identity

Brand identity is the complete system of names, visuals, language, and behavior a company uses to express its brand strategy consistently across every touchpoint.
It’s broader than a logo or color palette it includes how a brand writes an email, designs a stall at a trade show, and sounds on a customer service call. A strong identity system makes a brand recognizable even with the logo removed.

Brand identity vs. visual identity

Brand identity is the full system of how a brand expresses itself, including tone and behavior, while visual identity is only the visible design layer inside it, such as logo and color.
Confusing the two is common because visual identity is the most obvious part of brand identity. But a rebrand that only changes the logo and palette without revisiting strategy or voice is a visual refresh, not a true brand identity change.

Brand playbook

A brand playbook, also called brand guidelines, is the reference document that shows every team and vendor exactly how to apply a brand's identity correctly.
It typically covers logo usage and clear space, color values, typography rules, photography style, and tone-of-voice examples. A good playbook is written for the people who’ll actually use it designers and vendors not just for internal approval.

Brand strategy

Brand strategy is the long-term plan that defines what a brand stands for, who it serves, and how it wants to be perceived, before any design work begins.
It covers positioning, audience, tone of voice, and the reasons a customer should choose this brand over another. Every other branding decision the logo, the palette, the packaging should trace back to a choice made in the strategy. Skip this step and identity work becomes decoration without direction.

Environment branding

Environment branding, also called spatial branding, is the application of a brand's identity to physical spaces offices, retail stores, event venues, and exhibition stands.
It translates a brand’s colors, typography, and personality into wayfinding, signage, murals, and furniture choices, so a physical space feels unmistakably on-brand. It’s often the most memorable touchpoint, because people experience it in person rather than on a screen.

Event branding

Event branding is the design of a brand's presence at a specific event conferences, product launches, town halls, or trade shows across signage, stage design, and collateral.
Unlike a permanent office or store, event branding is temporary by design, built for maximum impact in a fixed window of time. It often has to work across physical builds, printed collateral, and a livestream or hybrid audience watching remotely.

Office branding

Office branding applies environment branding specifically to a company's workplace, turning everyday interiors into a visible expression of culture and identity.
It ranges from a branded reception wall to meeting room names themed around a company’s values. For internal audiences, office branding does double duty as both design and communication, reinforcing culture for the people who work there every day.

Packaging design

Packaging design is the design of a product's physical container and labeling, balancing shelf standout, regulatory information, and brand consistency.
Good packaging has to work at multiple distances legible from across a store aisle, and detailed enough to reward a closer look while staying instantly identifiable as the same brand across every SKU in a range.

WebLabs

Web & apps

UX/UI, product design, front-end and back-end development, and the systems that keep a site converting.

API integration

API integration is the process of connecting two software systems so they can exchange data automatically, using a defined set of rules called an API.
A booking form talking to a payment processor, or a CMS pulling live inventory from a warehouse system, both happen through API integrations. Well-built integrations let a business connect specialized tools together instead of building every function from scratch.

Conversion rate optimization (CRO)

Conversion rate optimization is the structured practice of testing changes to a website or app to increase the share of visitors who complete a desired action.
CRO starts with a hypothesis about why people aren’t converting, then tests a specific change against the original. Because it works with traffic a business already has, CRO is often the highest-leverage lever on a site, improving results without spending more to attract visitors.

E-commerce website

An e-commerce website is a site built specifically to let customers browse, select, and pay for products or services online.
Beyond a product catalog, it needs a working cart, checkout, and payment integration, plus inventory and order management behind the scenes. Conversion-focused e-commerce design pays close attention to every step between browsing and checkout, since each extra step is a chance to drop off.

Front-end vs. back-end development

Front-end development builds everything a user sees and interacts with directly, while back-end development builds the server, database, and logic that power it behind the scenes.
A site’s layout and forms are front-end work; the systems that store an order or process a payment are back-end work. Most real products need both together, connected through APIs, which is why full-stack teams keep them under one roof instead of splitting across vendors.

Headless CMS

A headless CMS is a content management system that stores and delivers content through an API, separate from how that content is displayed on the front end.
Unlike a traditional CMS, where content and design are locked together, a headless setup lets the same content power a website, an app, and other channels at once and lets each front end be redesigned without touching the content underneath.

Product design

Product design is the umbrella discipline that combines UX and UI design with business and technical constraints to shape a digital product end to end.
A product designer isn’t just making screens look good they’re deciding what the product should do, for whom, and why, working closely with development throughout. On smaller teams, one person often does both UX and UI work under this title.

UI (user interface) design

UI design is the design of a product's visual surface the buttons, layout, color, and typography a person directly sees and touches.
UI translates the structure UX design defines into a concrete, usable interface. It’s responsible for a product’s visual polish and consistency, from button states to spacing systems, working hand in hand with UX rather than as a separate later step.

UX (user experience) design

UX design is the practice of shaping how a product feels to use how easily someone can find what they need and complete a task without friction.
UX designers research how people actually behave, then design flows and information architecture around that behavior rather than around how a business is internally organized. Good UX is often invisible: the product simply makes sense.

UX vs. UI

UX design shapes how a product works and feels to use, while UI design shapes how it looks one is the structure, the other is the surface.
The two are often treated as interchangeable, but they solve different problems: a beautifully designed screen can still be confusing to navigate, and a logical flow can still look dated. Both are needed, and on most projects they’re designed together rather than handed off in sequence.

Digital marketing

Performance media, SEO, and the AI search terms — AEO and GEO — reshaping how visibility works.

Answer engine optimization (AEO)

Answer engine optimization is the practice of structuring content so AI-powered answer engines can extract, quote, and cite it directly in response to a question.
Where SEO optimizes for a ranked list of links, AEO optimizes for being the source an AI system pulls from when it composes an answer writing a clear, self-contained definition up front, using descriptive headings, and marking content up with structured data.

Content marketing

Content marketing is the practice of creating and distributing useful content to attract and retain a defined audience, rather than paying for their attention directly.
A guide, a case study, a glossary like this one all earn attention by being genuinely useful instead of interrupting someone with an ad. It plays a long game: content compounds as it accumulates search visibility, backlinks, and now, citations from AI answer engines.

Email marketing

Email marketing is the use of email to communicate directly with prospects and customers, from newsletters and promotions to automated lifecycle sequences.
Because a business owns its email list rather than renting attention on a platform it doesn’t control, email remains one of the most direct and cost effective channels for retention and repeat business, not just new customer acquisition.

Generative engine optimization (GEO)

Generative engine optimization is the practice of optimizing content so generative AI tools synthesize it accurately into the answers they compose, not just link to it.
GEO is closely related to AEO and the two terms are often used interchangeably. Where a distinction is drawn, GEO refers to conversational tools that blend multiple sources into one written answer, which puts a premium on being the source that gets paraphrased correctly.

Lead generation

Lead generation is the process of attracting and capturing interest from potential customers, typically by exchanging something of value for their contact information.
A downloadable guide, a free consultation, or a demo request are all lead generation offers. What separates strong lead generation from noise is targeting the right audience and offer, so the leads that come in are qualified rather than just numerous.

Marketing analytics & reporting

Marketing analytics and reporting is the ongoing practice of measuring campaign performance and turning that data into decisions about what to keep, change, or stop funding.
It covers everything from setting up tracking correctly to building dashboards that show which channels are actually driving results, not just which are easiest to measure. Good reporting answers a specific question what should we do differently next month rather than just presenting numbers.

Pay per click (PPC)

Pay per click is a form of online advertising where a business pays only when someone clicks its ad, most commonly bought through a keyword or audience auction.
Search ads, shopping ads, and most paid social campaigns run on a PPC model. Because cost is tied directly to a click rather than an impression, PPC gives advertisers a fairly direct read on cost per visitor, which then feeds into cost per lead or sale.

Performance marketing

Performance marketing is advertising bought and measured against specific, trackable outcomes clicks, leads, or sales rather than paid for exposure alone.
It spans paid search, paid social, and programmatic display, all optimized continuously against real numbers instead of set-and-forget campaigns. Because every rupee spent is tied to a measurable result, budgets can shift quickly toward whatever channel is actually working.

Search engine optimization (SEO)

SEO is the practice of earning unpaid, organic visibility in traditional search engine results through content, technical site health, and authority signals.
It rests on matching real search intent with content, keeping a site easy for search engines to crawl, and building the kind of reputation that earns links and mentions elsewhere. SEO is the discipline that answer engine and generative engine optimization have grown out of, applied to an AI driven generation of search.

Video & content

Corporate films, brand films, reels, and where AI-assisted production fits alongside traditional shoots.

Corporate video

A corporate video is a video produced to represent a company internally or externally, covering everything from culture and leadership messages to product overviews.
It’s a broad category that includes training videos, town hall recordings, and company overview films, unified by the goal of communicating on behalf of an organization rather than telling an emotional brand story. It’s often the workhorse category sitting alongside more narrative formats like brand films.

Brand film

A brand film is a narrative driven video built to communicate a brand's values and personality emotionally, rather than to explain a specific product or process.
Where a corporate video informs, a brand film aims to move someone often without a hard sales message at all. It’s typically the most cinematic format a brand produces, closer in craft to a short film than to an ad.

Explainer video

An explainer video is a short video, often animated, built to make a product, service, or concept easy to understand quickly.
It typically runs 60 to 90 seconds and follows a simple problem solution structure, making it a common choice for landing pages, product launches, and complex B2B offerings that are hard to explain in text alone.

Ad film

An ad film is a short video created specifically to run as paid advertising, built around a single message and a clear call to action.
Unlike a brand film, which can afford a slower emotional build, an ad film usually has only a few seconds to earn attention before a viewer skips or scrolls past, which shapes everything about its pacing and structure.

AI video

AI video refers to video content that uses generative AI tools for some or all of its production including AI generated visuals, voiceovers, avatars, or automated editing.
It’s increasingly used to produce ad variations at scale, localize content into multiple languages quickly, or prototype a concept before a full traditional shoot. It doesn’t replace traditional production so much as sit alongside it, handling the formats where speed and volume matter more than a bespoke shoot.

Podcast production

Podcast production is the end to end process of planning, recording, editing, and distributing audio or video podcast content for a brand.
For a corporate podcast, that typically includes format and guest strategy, studio or remote recording, editing, and preparing episodes for platforms plus, increasingly, cutting shorter video clips from each episode for social distribution.

Social media reels

Social media reels are short, vertical videos, typically under 90 seconds, formatted for fast, sound on scrolling consumption on platforms like Instagram and YouTube.
Reels favor a fast hook in the first second or two, native platform editing styles, and trends over polished production value. For most brands, reels now sit alongside longer form video as a distinct, faster moving production track with its own rhythm.

Corporate Comms

Corporate communications

Internal communications, employee engagement, and the formats that make culture and leadership visible.

Internal communications

Internal communications is the discipline of communicating with a company's own employees policy updates, leadership messages, culture initiatives, and change management.
It uses many of the same tools as external marketing video, email, events, campaigns but is aimed at engagement and clarity inside the organization rather than customer acquisition. Strong internal communications is often what makes a major change, like a rebrand or merger, land well with the people who have to live it.

Corporate communications

Corporate communications is the broader function that manages how an organization communicates with all its stakeholders employees, investors, media, and the public not just customers.
It sits alongside marketing rather than inside it, covering things like leadership messaging, press relations, and crisis communication. Internal communications is typically one part of the wider corporate communications function, focused specifically on the employee audience.

Employee engagement

Employee engagement is the level of emotional commitment employees feel toward their organization and its goals, and the communication and design work built to strengthen it.
In practice, that work spans culture campaigns, recognition programs, office branding, and internal events all designed to make employees feel informed and connected rather than just managed. It’s increasingly treated with the same creative rigor as external brand work.

Leadership communication

Leadership communication is the practice of helping executives and senior leaders communicate clearly and consistently with employees, customers, or the public.
It ranges from scripting and coaching a CEO for a town hall video to designing the recurring format of a leadership update. Done well, it makes leadership feel present and accessible, especially in larger or distributed organizations.

Coffee table book

A corporate coffee table book is a premium, photography-led publication built to tell a company's story or culture in a physical, keepsake format.
Unlike a typical brochure, it’s designed to be displayed and kept rather than read once and discarded, often used to mark an anniversary, celebrate a culture, or welcome new hires and partners with something tangible. It sits at the intersection of brand design, corporate communications, and print craft.
